Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitrade (PCBN):

Continental Diamonds line of PCBN (Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride) products is available in several grades. Each grade has specific properties that determine usage.

Two basic Grain categories:

✔️ Low content CBN grain - designed for finishing cuts on hardened steel
✔️ High content CBN grain - designed for machining cast iron, hard facing material and Nickel alloys PCBN combines the strength of hardness, thermal stability, thermal conductivity and strong impact resistance characteristics of CBN. These properties make it particularly suited to machine hardened steel, cast irons and super alloys. PCBN is considerably more abrasion resistant than both carbide and ceramic cutting tools. PCBN tools have a longer life, better surface finish, and the ability to hold closer tolerances. PCBN is a viable, more cost effective alternative to conventional grinding processes of hardened steels. Other machining applications include:

Solid Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitrade (PCBN):

Our SOLID PCBN / CBN inserts display a serious of premium performance, such as strong corrosion resistant, perform a good thermal stability and red-hardness, suitable to process cast iron, quenched steel and other kinds of ferrous metal. CBN polycrystalline block cutter of our company shall greatly improve cutting speed and realize real high-speed cutting; meanwhile it is fit for continuous processing. Currently our company can provide round, cube, square and triangle SOLID PCBN inserts (Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride).

More Super hard PCBN insert (Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride) mainly used for ferrous materials machining, like grey cast, cast iron, carbon steels, alloy steels, nickel or cobalt, etc... PCBN Diamond (polycrystalline cubic boron nitride) products are second only to diamond in hardness. The hardness allows the ability to machine hardened work pieces. The high thermal conductivity of PCBN allow for an increase in tool life over Carbide Tools. Furthermore, the high chemical stability allows for PCBN to be stable up to 1000° C and no reaction with Fe, Ni, CO etc... Allowing easy grinding and EDM Cutting.
